September Sees Twin Cities Listings spending an Average of 65 Days On the Housing Market
According to the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS’ September 2015 Report on the Twin Cities-area Housing Market, September ended with 6355 new active listings of homes for sale, a decrease of 1 percent month-over-month. As compared to the previous year, inventory remains fairly level. Year over year, new listings are down down -6.9%
During September, there were 5114 sold listings, a slight month-over-month decrease and a 12% increase as compared to this time last year.
Home prices remained steady in September. The average sold price for a single family home was $265,943, down a bit from compared to last month, but still 2.3% higher than a year ago.
