August Sees a median sold price of $224,900 Twin Cities Metro Area Housing Market
According to the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS’ August 2015 Report on the Twin Cities-area Housing Market, August ended with 6922 new active listings of homes for sale, a decrease of 13 percent month-over-month. As compared to the previous year, inventory remains fairly level. Year over year, inventory is down -0.3%
During August, there were 5811 sold listings, a slight month-over-month increase and a 7.8% increase as compared to this time last year.
Home prices remained steady in August. The average sold price for a single family home was $267,693, down 0.1 percent as compared to last month, but still 2.3% higher than a year ago.
